The more I read about Patreon the more it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Gotta file some tax shit, I can go in the negatives cause of refunds... Seems a bit risky. For now please consider donating at ko-fi.com/extradonut I will post my process more often, which is what my $5 Patreon tier would be

Hi, Money is tight and while I'm about to list my alters online very soon, I am in need of these particular paint markers. The 3M and 5M markers are really thick and I need something substantially thinner. I need a hero lol

Curious. For those who have had more time in the mtg alters scene to get a feel for it + generally well informed... How often do you see alters that are of a purely original composition/design as opposed to something taken from an IP? To clarify, I love all your IP alters. Still very curious!

Hello, I figured I'd boost this one more time. I just need another $450 to help cover my slice of bills for the month. Any and all help would really be appreciated!

I'm going to be setting some prices individually for the alters that I've made. Trying to figure out a pricing scheme that is good for me, good for the buyer, and explain what kinds of commissions I am willing to do in the event of a request. I'd try to have a sliding scale for comms.

Also while I didn't take a picture, I HAVE been working on that larger drawing of mine. I might only take a picture of it when I am done working it with my pens, right before I move onto color.

Ok I'm glad I didn't ditch this one. Here's a sneak peak of the process as I start making the actual creature on the creature card #wip #mtgalters #magicthegathering

LRP I absolutely just did that to an alter yesterday lmfao Should have stopped before the black lines. Easy enough to reproduce my steps though, I will try again on a new copy of the same card

Hiccup with selling alters at the lgs. Owner thinks they are proxies despite me insisting I painted over real cards. Doesn't know if it's legal but I also sent the applicable law to him over discord. Hope I can eventually sell them there. Meanwhile, please donate. Shit is rough ko-fi.com/extradonut

Oooooo I got a 12-axis angel design cooking, one of the designs like in my profile picture. But, on one of the new Reality Fracture cards. That is my only preview of what is to come. I refuse to share the process of this one until I am done. I am going to baby this one

EXtraDonut @donutexile.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Lmao the Canada Post employee who only works once a week wasnt even given training to find where they store things like bubble mailers to sell. Not her fault, she was sweet, but god damn Canada Post. They might not even have em in stock but I'll find that out on Monday. They f cheap as fuck though

LGS owner who hates proxies would have what my current commission is Making it clear that I think people who are extremely uptigjt about proxy usage need to live dirt poor for a while and figure out how to navigate a notoriously expensive hobby. Proxies are the great MTG equalizer.

#MTGAlters I was going to post a trio of Jund dragon alters tonight but I have been going crazy making Pokemon/MTG alters so I am delaying the post until tomorrow. I'll post 7+ Pokemon/MTG alters and a related token. They will be for sale, first come first get!

Fuck it. Seems like it might be easy enough. Gonna talk to someone at the post office and get some quotes for shipping fees and packaging + what I need to know to ship internationally. So I might be selling alters online soon.

Hold up So he painted a magic original On the back of an artist proof Turned it in. Got approved. This is the wildest story I’ve heard today

Hello everyone, I’m pleased to present my original artwork for Forest Tentacle Token from Reality Fracture set . The uniqueness lies in the fact that the original art for the card was drawn on artist proof. This miniature depicts a piece of the tentacle of a Verdant Kraken that is beginning to be overgrown with forest plants and flowers.

I am on fire lately. - chronic pain has not been flaring up - working on THREE different projects and rotating every day between them - possibly about to make some damn money - reorganized my art space, including cleaning out some plastic drawers to store my many art supplies

I know I throw the link out there a lot, but I am in need of more art supplies. Looking at getting a 16pk of the Posca PM-1MR markers, cause I currently just use a variety of 3M and 5M markers alongside some archival ink brush pens. The PC-1MRs are like $70 CAD without tax. Any bit helps! :3

Bringing my alters to my local game store tomorrow to arrange a deal with the owner to sell them there + a house cut for doing so Will probably get some FRA singles too
