"Taking a dip in a piranha pool" is infinitely less vitriolic than people wishing literal "I hope you die" sentiments and it's a completely unrealistic scenario. I see posts get away with breaking every one of the "for example" bullet points and yet it's only trans folk who get held to standard.

SNAP kids are just as deserving of a birthday cake, a soda, & a little childhood joy as any other kid. Kids shouldn’t have to understand their family’s financial situation before being allowed to be excited about cake. Somehow we’ve reached where that apparently requires a congressional hearing.

Yeah, cis kids can need gender-affirming care, and often have an easier time getting it than trans kids do, since what they need aligns better with what society tells their parents is reasonable. When I was nine, my breasts grew in so fast it tore the skin. I still have the scars, decades later.

I have known many trans kids (and cis kids who needed procedures that would fall under "gender-affirming care"). None of them have suffered harmful consequences for getting the care they needed. The harmful consequence for having that care denied is frequently death.

Important. I used to commiserate with my peers daily because society and institutions either didn't see us or didn't know how to support us. College is a vastly different experience when you're balancing FT work, FT classes, and caretaking. (Anyway, our GPAs were higher than everyone else's.)

A revelation I had about why Magic is so special in community building is within the cards themselves. I believe that all it takes is one card that someone becomes enamored by, and Magic’s library of cards allows you to express yourself in ways no other card game can.
