He keeps saying that a successor to Trump hasn’t arisen because he’s unique. It’s because he destroys anyone he views as having an ounce of power or a potential replacement for himself

Friends, again with respect because this is a complex issue: children born to citizens of tribal governments do not have constitutional birthright citizenship under many, if not most forms of constitutional argument and authority (incl. Supreme Court precedent relied upon in this case)./1

Sauers inability to answer that Q speaks not only to lack of preparation for the court, but to the larger lawlessness of the action. “But how does this apply to an entire national class of people” should be a Q every Justice should ask, not just one guy. It’s horrible we can’t trust they would

I think it’s a sign of how bad indigenous rights are viewed by our countries legal community that a question from one of the justices about whether or not the executive considers them citizens is met with laughter and “oh that ol’ boy sure does find a way to shoehorn Indians into everything”

I think it’s wrong to sensualize a justice slightly concerned about the fate of five million of this countries original inhabitants (persecuted as they are under a million cuts by our government) as extraordinary and more-so to do it reference a deeply racist text.

Some people call this "sane-washing" but I think a better description is when the real Trump falters, they sub in a fake, imaginary Trump into their stories. Beyond cleaning up untidy remarks to make them sound more coherent: "Trump super concerned with nuclear proliferation" is an imaginary guy

There’s a significant misunderstanding of how large the scale of these fast food corporations is. McDonald’s sales roughly 2.5 billion burgers a year, the percentage that you need to take from that to enrich a billionaire class is less than people think it is.

There were people in complaining about how expensive house cleaning services had gotten, as if it wasn’t a massive failure of the system people were willing to accept <$10 an hour to clean an entire persons home

Just to expand on this: The dynamic was basically: Voters: Fast food hamburgers went from $3 to $9. I don't like this. Biden/Harris: Look, I'm sorry about your burger or whatever, but there are real people out there with real problems. Trump: I will fix this on day 1. It will be so easy.

I don't know what SCOTUS will do on birthright citizenship case, it's anybody's guess. But if they endorse Trump's diktat, the only response is defiance. Outright, open defiance by the states. A decision not just erroneous but illegitimate, beyond their power, null and void from the day it's issued.

If you’re applying to a selective school the cost proposition of accepting credits is waaay different for the student. Even for the AP, a three on the AP exam is not viewed as passing for most selective school credit acknowledgement

The NYT says today’s #NoKings protests had “no shortage of skeptics,” and then quoted exactly one of those skeptics: The chairman of the Ole Miss College Republicans (as of 2025.) But of course, the Times doesn’t ID him as such. He’s just a Concerned Youth.
The marches had no shortage of skeptics.
In Oxford, Miss,, Cass Rutledge, a first-year law student at the University of Mississippi, walked through the No Kings protest and around the town square on Saturday and questioned why people thought Mr. Trump was acting like a king.
"He is, you know, a duly elected president who won the popular vote and the electoral college in a landslide," Mr. Rutledge said.
"And so I'm a little bit confused on how he's acting differently than any other president."
He pointed to the stalemate in Congress over the SAVE America Act, the Republican-driven bill to tighten voter identification and registration rules, which Democrats have called an attempt to suppress turnout based on false claims of voting fraud. Mr. Rutledge said that Mr.
Trump was "going through the process" to try to get the legislation passed.olemiss.collegerepublicans • Follow The University of Mississippi - Ole Miss
