I completely forgot to share this! A couple months back, @thatmothra.bsky.social and @drcfxtina.bsky.social and I hung out for an afternoon on the beach, and we saw this lil guy who was missing a foot! Obviously, we named him Izzy. He hung around for quite a while before he flew off.

The only thing Ed hears on the other end of the line is Alma crying, he immediately tenses, going straight into dad mode, "Hey, hey, it's ok baby. What happened?"
"I hurt myself at practice." He can hear sirens in the background, and that's enough to set him off.
