Ed made sure to grab his shoes, putting his bag back by the sliding door. The two boys scrambled to the front door, sliding on their matching velcro Spider-Man shoes. “Are you bringing your Pokémon cards?”
“No, I have too many school supply stuff in my backpack, I will tomorrow though.”
“I got a really cool Gyrados that I need to show you at lunch!” His cousin Mary traded it for the shiny holographic Charizard Ed got in a pack a long time prior, jokes on her, Gyrados was way cooler than Charizard.
Stede ran with Ed across the grass and started on their walk to school, his mom trailing close behind. “Ooo, I’ll have to show you the Vaporeon I got the other day.”

Ough protective dad Ed, my love 😫 #wip

He steps out into the chilly March air, Louis' sensei glaring at him while they do their roundhouse kicks, and answers the call.
"Hey girl. Aren't you supposed to be at practice?"
The only thing Ed hears on the other end of the line is Alma crying, he immediately tenses, going straight into dad mode, "Hey, hey, it's ok baby. What happened?"
"I hurt myself at practice." He can hear sirens in the background, and that's enough to set him off.

So leave your taxi waiting And turn and close my door
And sit back down where you were sitting
A little closer than before
And when you look that serious It just makes me want you more And I've been meaning to tell you
The closer you get, the better I feel The closer you are, the more I see Why everyone says that I look happier When you're around
The closer you get, the better I feel
And yes I know you're nervous
Never seen you so unsure
You haven't touched your food tonight
And you're drinking more and more
And there's no need to hurry
Take your time I'II still be here And I've been meaning to tell you
The closer you get, the better I feel The closer you are, the more I see Why everyone says that I look happier When you're around the better I feel The closer you get, the better you see The closer you are, the more I see Why everyone says that I look happier When you're around

This bit in the new chapter is inspired by this one 2 second moment from Pocahontas, when this random background character tackles her husband into the water. I think about it constantly, it’s so sweet 💕

Stede ditched the spear on the shore, and slowly waded out in the surf, the waves lapping at his calves. "What are you doing?!" He shouted in disbelief.
"I can't do it!"
"What?!"
Ed finally reached the point where he knew he could touch the bottom, freezing cold waters be damned. He ran to Stede and tackled him into the water with a rough kiss. "I can't do it, I can't leave."

I love Saw au (CW: talk of past drug abuse) #wip

He shouldn't have raised his hand, why would Ed go first, there's 15 people in this circle, why is he the one that feels bold enough to tell his terrifying tale first?!
Maybe it's cause he's stupid and thinks this'll be good for him, it will be, he told himself, you can't keep this inside forever.
The woman leading group therapy's voice is calm and even, "Tell us your experience, in your own time, no pressure."
Ed could still perfectly taste the metal, the bitter copper of his own blood in his mouth, he could feel the grime beneath his fingertips. The sheer terror that coursed through his veins as the timer ticked down, a rapid tick tick tick repeating in his brain.
He took a long drag of a cigarette, and stumped it out.
"Alright, I.. shit..."
"Take your time."

Ed took a breath, talking about it makes it better, at least that's what the doctors said.
"My name is Ed, and I survived a Jigsaw trap." The room repeated a monotone, hi Ed, and he continued. "It happened about a year—no-almost two years ago. I was kinda strung out back then, addicted to coke and dabbling in crack and meth, any substance that would make the...the thoughts stop." He'd just been dumped by his last boyfriend, on top of having an unexpectedly intense reaction to his father dying, he was lashing out on everyone and himself.
"And then," Ed continued, "I don't remember exactly how it happened, all I know is, one moment I was at my house, and the next, I was in this—gross dingy basement."

His eyes shoot open, brought back to the land of the living out of nowhere, like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. He's strapped into a chair by his torso, but his hands are free at least. A massive metal cage encircles his head, he can feel its jaws inside his mouth, like some kind of fucked up headgear. His breath quickens, panic starting to set in.
Where is he, what the hell is this thing, who put him here.
"As soon as I woke up, I heard a voice on the TV across from me!"
"Hello Edward, I want to play a game."
