Dolly’s legacy will be felt in a million ways across East Tennessee, the nation and the world. We are honored to have documented part of that legacy in “The Library That Dolly Built.” We hope you watch the film, learn about the Imagination Library and consider supporting the program.

Since certain people refuse to believe their eyes that we're causing climate change, I suggest we simply start implying that carbon emissions cause autism. Since we can apparently just say that until a study proves otherwise according to the cdc... Oh and so does lack of universal healthcare...

It’s 2026. Trump is president and once again he spent an entire speech talking about losing in 2020, when he was president, before complaining about how he might lose the midterms, when he’ll still be president. Apparently, the deep state only exists when he’s in charge.

to hear Trump tell it, American elections were completely corrupted while he was president and he was helpless to stop it, then they were cleaned up by Biden ahead of Trump's victory in 2024, and now that Trump is president again they are once again becoming third world caliber

Held this brilliant sign made by @phrenologyhead.bsky.social at today’s #TeslaTakedown. I’m crediting the sign with forcing Mitch McConnell’s staff to release that proof-of-life photo. (Arlington, VA - Sunday, July 12)
A sign with blue and white stripes with an illustration of Mitch McConnell dressed as Waldo from Where’s Waldo. The sign says, “Where’s Mitch?”

Furious that Chris Nolan would disregard historical accuracy in adapting The Odyssey by making a "movie" with "cameras" instead of memorizing the entire story and then going on a nationwide tour to sing it to us while tripping on ergotized barley

Ohio taxpayers have now spent over $1 billion on private school vouchers this year. Meanwhile, public schools across the state remain unconstitutionally underfunded and asked to do more with less. www.cleveland.com/education/20...

Ohio has again dished out more than $1B in vouchers to private schools for the year
The state has already spent more than $1 billion on taxpayer-funded vouchers to support private schools in the 2025-2026 school year, and the total is expected to rise.

Periodic reminder that Teapot Dome, the worst scandal in American history prior to Watergate, involved $9 million changing hands. That’s adjusted for inflation. This story by itself is 55500% bigger than Teapot Dome. That’s not a typo.

Ohioans are tough. But when working hard isn’t enough to make ends meet, something has to change. As governor, I will bring that change by implementing a working families’ tax cut, putting money back into your pockets, and fighting for hard-working Ohioans.

The Teapot Dome scandal involved $400,000 in 1923 dollars. Huge scandal, taught in every HS history book, almost the synonym for "corruption." In 2026 dollars, Teapot Dome was a hair under $8 *M*illion. With an M. Not a B. M. The scope of corruption under Trump 2--plus its nakedness--is epochal.

Around midnight, Senate Banking Committee Republicans unveiled new crypto legislation. Among other flaws, it will turbocharge the massive conflict of interests posed by Donald Trump and his family's crypto ventures. No bill should move through the Banking Committee without real ethics guardrails.

LET THIS SINK IN—the U.S. now has no confirmed CDC director, no FDA commissioner, no Surgeon General, an NIH director with no medical license, and the last Acting CDC Director was a George Bush speechwriter. In fact—the only doctor/scientist we have in the White House is… Dr Oz.

I get the impression that a lot of these folks think there’s a “national presidential election” computer sitting on the Internet somewhere and if some clever hacker breaks into it on election day they can change the outcome. Like they way the kid in War Games changed his girlfriend’s grades.

AI has not changed the way software is built. Code is written using the same syntax, version controlled using the same version control systems, compiled using the same compilers, deployed to the same servers, and neglected by the same developers.
