I used it to make my own superhero game, sort of like V&V with random tables, but stopped because I knew virtually nothing about the superhero genre at the time, except for the newspaper Spider-Man comic strip. I didn't get into comics until I bought V&V 2e & had a knowledge deficit to correct.

True. My best games were more in the fashion of the Griselda stories. Storm Bulls were the local biker gang, not the living embodiment of a myth. I get they can be both but the pendulum is waaaay to far on the minutiae of the lore, and I feel it’s lost the YGWV of old. But I’m an old crankypants.

I did a terrific job of running it with 2e, Gods of Prax, & Borderlands. It was all I needed. Cults of Terror was a bridge too far in detail. The current approach creates great art, but I liked it better when it was focused on adventuring in the real, not heroquesting. Give me Griselda not Argrath.
