This issue is even more acute in smaller towns, where the population is aging faster—due kids moving to seek opportunities, often in walkable cities. Doctors are also more reluctant to tell someone it’s time to hang up their keys, because the consequences of doing so are so devastating.

It’s really important that the #Vancouver Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced. Safe bike-lanes mean business.

Tony Blair’s policies removed the hope of affording further or higher education from a generation of kids from lower income working families. Making it worth making an effort must start in school, or don’t be surprised when some kids get used to zero effort, or seek money and kudos from gangs.

The new mock up suggests huge enclosed space but limited useable space, which seems reminiscent of some of the more overbuilt and over budget station projects in Toronto recently. Moriyama’s original science centre is far better functionally and significant architecturally.

University of Saskatchewan public health researchers are seeking transit users in Canada to complete a questionnaire and participate in a focus group for a study to understand how public transit affects mental wellbeing. #ParticipateInResearch

Eligible participants must:
1) Be 18 years of age or older
2) Use public transit at least twice per week
3) Be proficient in English
4) Have access to a computer

We are looking for volunteers to help us understand how public transit use can impact the mental wellbeing of its users.
Help make public transportation in Canada better for all
Eligible participants will be asked to compete a short questionnaire to capture demographic information and public transit habits as well as participate in an online focus group. Collectively, these activities should take 45–60 minutes to complete.
In appreciation for your time, you will be entered to win a gift certificate to your choice of Starbucks or Tim Hortons.
