I feel like we don’t talk about millennials in particular, hitting our 40s - in earlier generations many of us would be reaching the peak of our careers, but because of disaster after disaster, locust after locust eating our industries, many of us are on our 3rd or 4th fresh start.

had a conversation about favorite formats for learning machine learning at a conference. It's a bit unorthodox but I can highly recommend the UW Summer Institute. It's all online but quite venerable - the Big Data section is relatively new but the biostats section is reknowned.
