I'm (re-)reading the Hugo award winning Hyperion by Dan Simmons, considered one of the all time great sci-fi novels. A retelling of the Canterbury Tales, a diverse group of pilgrims travel to a strange planet to visit the Time Tombs, buildings that move backwards through time.
