Really, Really, Really, Really Long Music
"While mostly not unused per se, The Adventures of Batman & Robin is infamous among video game enthusiasts for having really, really long music. Listening to one song in its entirety in-game often involves standing around and doing nothing for way longer than is needed.

To give an example, the title screen's animation lasts 1 minute and 6 seconds before it loops. The music? 9 minutes and 14 seconds."

Ancillary evidence further shows that Carmen had a go at the game's demo version, removing some truly hideous animations and block paragraphs."

Text

(A table of two columns corresponding to the [1] Famicom and [2] Virtual Console versions of the text at hand:

[1] "• ドラクエの フォー やった?
おれ
まだスリーでくろうしてるんだ。"
[2] "• あのゲーム やった?

Translations

[1] "• Have you played Dragon Quest IV?
Because I'm still having trouble playing III!"
[2] "• Have you played that game?
Because I still haven't played it!"
)

"In the Japanese version, a kid in Twinkle Elementary asks you if you've played Dragon Quest IV yet (which was notably not out yet by the time of Mother's release), and admits that he hasn't because he's still stuck on the third game. This text was rewritten to avoid any specific references by changing "Dragon Quest IV" to the much more vague "that game", as was the case in the Mother 1+2 version of the game.

(In case you're wondering, the Beginnings version of the line wasn't altered, as the games it mentioned were changed to "Super Mario Bros. 7" and Super Mario Bros. 3 respectively in the localization. [Hey, wait a second...] (Linking to the tcrf.net page for 7 Grand Dad.)"

A few people have wanted to know how this works: the mechanism is pretty simple. The site checks if your browser says it's coming from one of these sites. If so, you get the "AI loser" page. The link on the page strips out the "utm_source" parameter and referrer, so you only see it once.
A screenshot of PHP code that checks for a "utm_source" parameter of "chatgpt.com" or "copilot.com", and also checks for a referer matching chatgpt, perplexity AI, copilot, claude, and gemini. if any check matches, you are considered an AI loser

I’m sorry, what?!?!?!
From the page for World Heroes (Genesis) on The Cutting Room Floor: “Unsurprisingly, it had a troubled development; the original lead
programmer Sega tapped to work on this port was a con artist who fled with the money, meaning that to get the game out on time, the bulk of it had to be
programmed in a rush by two people who only had access to the assembly code of the original. And while they certainly tried, the results speak for themselves.”
