Great news that High Court has ruled Scope 3 emissions (exported carbon pollution) must be considered in new environmental approvals for coal mines. I’ve moved two Bills in the Parliament to that effect, both times rejected by the enviro-vandals in the ALP and LNP #auspol

Easy to feel a bit lost these days but never doubt that the actions of two (or one or many) people can change the world. A long haul; a great outcome.

I know Tony and Wendy well. They're good friends and long-time Greens, and they've spent decades fighting to protect the Hunter Valley they love. Today they took on the fossil fuel giants and got an important win.

Where is the scrutiny of the cosy insiders club that is the NSW Independent Planning Commission? A body that approves coal mine after gas project, data centre after bloated commercial project, happily rubber-stamping away under the invisibility cloak of ‘Independent’. As if their ‘conditions’ matter

As one of the many Australians born overseas (not living in Kooyong) who came here as a kid, this immigration dog whistle politics is sickening. I happen to blend in with all the white Australia norms, but so many of my fellow immigrants are on the front line of this, feeling targeted. #auspol
