True but I have a hunch that some centrist Democrats are going to suddenly discover the debt when they want to throw a wrench into progressive and left liberal policy. They will need to be mocked and told to shut the fuck up too.

It does appear the "data center eliminated Nazi and otherwise fuckface bots" narrative is basically wishcasting, it does show you how popular getting rid of this shit would broadly be, and that maybe a smart person should run on it.

Reading Brianna Nofil’s fantastic book “The Migrant Jail” & this is what she has to say about immigration detention already in the first half of the 20th century

Towns and cities throughout the United States recognized detained migrants as a racialized source of financial capital; working with the immigration service became a way to bankroll carceral expansion without requiring the approval (or even the tax dollars) of voters.

The Democratic Party has abolished the death penalty de facto or de jure in every state where it has the power to do so. Zero federal executions have happened under Democratic administrations since it was reinstated in 1976. A Dem median vote on the Supreme Court would rule it unconstitutional

Just like SNL. Straight middle-aged guys at the gym with a bunch of ripped gay dudes has been done before but it's a funny setup, unless your immediate pivot is "women who go to the gym are..." Say something racist, homophobic, or misogynist and you're a legitimate conservative comedian.

I've seen one of his stand-ups. What stuck out was structure, not the jokes per se. Multiple times he told a funny story, sometimes wholesome, and then punctuated it with an offensive, insulting punchline for no real reason, other than appealing to conservative man audiences.

Per the Middle East Studies Association, since October 7, 76 North American academics have been fired for speaking out against the genocide in Palestine. Two-thirds of those people are non-white. 16.5% are Jewish. afi.mesana.org/resource/les...
Retaliation goes far beyond firing. Of 196 recorded incidents of employer retaliation against employees speaking out on Palestine, nearly 40% (76) resulted in termination. Retaliation that does not rise to the level of termination is an even larger phenomenon.
All categories of academic workers are at risk. Of the 162 individuals whose employment status was disclosed, 30% involved non-tenure track faculty or instructors, and 36% were tenured.
People of color are disproportionately affected. Of the 134 cases recorded in the AFI database in which respondents’ identification is known, two-thirds were people of color: 30% SWANA; 10.5% Black; and 27% other POC. Additionally, 16.5% identify as Jewish. More than half of those targeted whose gender is known are women. Such retaliation compounds the abuse of already racist and sexist work environments.
