With our kids now #BackToSchool, never forget that we ARE the traffic that we’re afraid of. If more kids walked, biked or rode transit to school, it would erase a LOT of car trips each day, and our kids would be safer, healthier and better at school as a result. HT Ian Lockwood. Spread the word.
Cartoon of a mom and dad with a kid in front of a minivan. The parents are saying “there is too much traffic for Billy to walk to school, so we drive him.” The caption at the bottom says “traffic inducing traffic.” Let kids walk and bike to school, and tell your leaders to make that trip safe and enjoyable for kids and families. #LetKidsWalk #LetKidsBike

Average speed of a car in Wales is 43.7 mph www.moneysupermarket.com/car-insuranc... If somebody earns £80k, and spends £1050/month leasing, taxing, insuring and fueling their car which they drive 800 miles, they're doing 1.8 mins labour for each mile they drive So REAL average speed is 18.8 mph
