The issue was never a ‘Palestinian State’. Or even Israel. It was about creating a permission structure for antisemitism with the aim of normalizing Islamic and radical leftist violence. open.substack.com/pub/sultankn...

The atrocities committed on the 7th October, and the surge of antisemitism that followed before people's bodies were even cold here in the UK, is heartbreaking The fear and hatred it has emboldened is devastating May the memories of all those lost be a blessing, and may the hateful always lose

It isn't that difficult to write a 7th of October post without blaming Israel, is it? E.g. "Kalasnikovs don't belong to music festivals". Then you still have 364 days of the year to explain why you think that the IDFs response was disproportionate.

Generative art was a thing WAY before now. Artists and designers (myself included) have long written scripts that start from a deterministic base and add non-deterministic variables. The real difference is whose knowledge and labor the system is built from, the intention of the work, and consent

Or to reduce this to a pithy one-liner because that's what The Youngs understand these days: Instead of *ending* the I/P sectarian conflict, a growing portion of the left now want "the right people" to WIN it.

I don't disagree with the thread below but frame it somewhat differently as an academic who regularly sees people who read for a living fail in the way described here. From that perspective it seems more a cultural crisis than an educational one

Let's just look at the text, I thought, so I can have it in my head again, and I can do more deep work tomorrow. This, of course, got out of hand. I hope, tomorrow the text going to feel at least half as poetic, as it feels now.

The first release isn't the finish line - it's the starting pistol. We ship. We learn. We adapt. It's the "Learn. Adapt." part that turns base metals into gold. Agentic coding can hamper learning and adapting, and most teams have walked into this trap. codemanship.wordpress.com/2026/09/03/t...

Research is part of the writing process. It inspires me with ideas I'd never have had if I hadn't gone down the rabbit hole myself. The thrill of that missing puzzle piece sliding into place? Priceless. I refuse to give up the joy of being surprised by learning to LLMs. (Not to mention, they lie.)

Confession: I started to find LLMs useful: it helps me to solve th3 "how to do this with that technology" questions pretty quickly. It helps that I can also verify the results quickly.

There is this literary competition that you can apply with a short story that's 6000 characters long. This looks oddly specific to me, I asked for clarification, like is it at most 6000 characters? Around 6000 characters with 10% threshold? No answers so far.

Not writing is also an important part of writing. Writing something else, like poetry or translation is an important part too. It is just difficult to start to write again. So, for the record, today I put down 300 words and I'm pretty pleased with myself.

Seeing people react to this by pointing out the Odyssey isn’t history but myth, which is ofc correct; but tbh it’s much more interesting to see what the ideological function of „historically accurate“ is in that statement

"Our AI-first coders are far more productive than our other engineers!" Is that really what's going on or are your AI-first coders generating swathes of code that your regular engineers have to review and fix before it can go into the project? Might they, in fact, be wasting everybody else's time?

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 7410: This is a conclusion drawn from over 30 years’ observation of publishing. Reviews don’t sell books. Advertising doesn’t sell books. What sells books is human-to-human communication, via reps, booksellers, author events, word of mouth from readers.

This is basically the core of the Jewish diaspora response to 10/7, yup. "When our coreligionists were massacred, the people who had always said they would be in our corner & would battle our foes instead erupted into jubilant celebration at the sight of Jewish blood in the streets."

I don't think we talk enough about the fundamental flaw of AI programming workflow: 1. We write prompts (or instruct the agent, whatever) 2. We review the generated code, not the prompts 3. When there is a bug, we debug the generated code, not the prompt

This is something leftists are supposed to recognize when it's pulled on them, & yet they absolutely love the taste, because it feels good to purge the enemy, to drive the wicked before you & revel in their pain. A lot of extremist politics is about creating academic license for this crude sadism.
