Please practice not saying “AI is just gonna get better,” particularly if you’re referring to generative AI. It’s not an inevitability—in fact the likelihood is that it will actually produce more and more degraded output as it feeds on its own data.

Using AI to automate aspects of a teacher's job because they have too many students is not a solution to the problem of too many students. It is a choice to accept a degraded atmosphere by using an oxygen mask, rather than working to make the conditions conducive to the humans inside the system.
