I wonder how much of the cost of oil being as stable as it is is from demand people pushing on green investments early? To a business guy looking at the situation/numbers there is no small chance they push the next capital expense from wherever into solar panels and batteries.

One of the things that fucks me is the number of popular youtubers who have huge audiences and are simply not as capable at their subject matter as chat gpt. A huge amount of them spend all day talking politics or philosophy but haven't read word one of their topic.

A huge part of this discourse is that people are ignoring they have very different jobs and wildly different limitations. Mamdani has lots of options that builds trust, and he does many of them. Jefferies has very few options wrt/trust and missing even one of them hurts him way more.

Is anyone here old enough to remember these specials? Comedians and celebrities need to make everything about themselves but it seems like they used to be able to help while doing so. Compare to the current crop who only whine and post about their feelings about whatever tragedy is in the news.
