Victoria transit workers in Unifor Local 333-BC began
job action on August 17th, 2026 with a uniform ban.
This comes following over a year without a contract
and increasingly challenging working conditions
including unrealistic run times, lack of breaks, and
insufficient pay.

We know as transit riders that supporting better
working conditions for our bus drivers and transit
workers means a stronger, safer transit system for all
of us.

At the next VRTC meeting BC Transit is recommending that they approve INCREASING the cost of the Monthly Concession Pass from $45 to $55. This is the pass for teens and seniors. Please email victoria_commission@bctransit.com before Tuesday and tell them NOT to raise the price!
