Chain of Memories started as a GBA game. 358/2 days never left the DS outside of the cutscenes. Re:Coded started admittedly on mobile but western debut was on DS. Dream Drop Distance was initially a 3DS exclusive. Birth By Sleep is like, the major exception.

It's really peculiar how Nintendo handhelds tended to have first dibs on the non-numbered games for a while, with playstation essentially being the exclusive platform for the biggest titles.

Well guess I won't be bored for a while. Not pictured: GBA chain of menories also installed on my 3ds. Might play it as a bonus game if I end up really curious

Never played Umineko so got no idea what this means but I am NOT a succesful businessman. ... Yes I know I'm doing a master in data-driven business. Shut up.

You are (most like) Hideyoshi Ushiromiya!
Eva's husband.
Hideyoshi is the successful president of a chain of fast food restaurants. He's a very jovial man and manages to tone down the tension between the siblings during their various meetings. He seeks Kinzo's fortune due to people trying to buy all his shares. He speaks with a fake Kansai accent, which he is said to be too embarrassed to use against actual Kansai people.

(Seriously square could you not have just. Made a separate version of 2.8 for the switch 1 with an upgrade path to NS2 with the prolo- oh right square doesn't do upgrade paths ffs)

000

So apparently Kingdom hearts 2.8 isn't on Switch 1 because of a KH3 prologue that's included alongside Dream Drop Distance? Weird but ok.

They've already heavily implied it in interviews, but I really do think we can rest easy that Horizon's sequel is gonna be one of their leading titles next year. I imagine we could see Switch 2 versions the Daybreak games in December as well. (Also Horizon 1 since no JP NS1/2 versions yet)

[huffing massive copium] See what they did here with emphasising Hajime/Nagito in the front and Chiaki/Sakutaro in the back is that Hajime and Nagito are the protag/antag respectively in the original and Chiaki and Sakutaro will be those respectively in Slayhem

I wonder how many people awakened to Kevin Graham in the remake's Salt Scene. Because I get it

Sometimes I mourn the potential of the Northern War anime. How it could have fleshed North Ambria out in an interesting way but it ultimately was just promotion for the mobile game. 😔

For extra context, Trails hit 5 million in 2020. In the last six years of its 22-year run, the series sales has DOUBLED! That's worth underlining and celebrating too 🎊

I'm still of the belief we got really lucky with Sky 1st Chapter. The direct where that got announced only listing "Nihon Falcom" as the publisher was already a red flag. Now they did it again. Whatever's going on with KX just reeks of Falcom being negligent/overconfident with western communications

That's pretty cool news but I gotta ask... What the heck happened to Kyoto Xanadu’s English release? I'm starting to sound like a broken record but it's still wild to me that Xanadu was announced during a Nintendo Direct (with a release window) only to then drop off the face of the Earth.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter: A fantastic remake. Of that there is no doubt. As someone who holds the original as my favourite ever made, I am very pleased with what they managed to create. The original still remains in its throne, for a few reasons. But it's still masterful, through and through.

000

ok there are some similarities to the original
