Physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition has arrived 🙏 Looking forward to experience the game again with the new outfits. I remember being really excited with the announcement that I drew a phone sketch of Mythra pretty quickly 😌

I like the idea of Elaine and Kinkaid dressing up to go to out with Van and they try to look a little bit more goth to make him happy 😊🎉 just a quick doodle idea of an elaine outfit option - I think she'd wear a leather jacket over this too though

Elaine Auclair in a short dress with lace long sleeves. She is still carrying her sword with her, as is her right as the knight of the polycule.

September was a big month for drawing and my art journey 😌 Had a couple of good things happened to me and it's a really nice encouragement for me to keep going. I hope to keep doing my best and see how far I can go 🙇

Sketch ➡️ Final It's always a challenge to interpret the sketch lines and preserve the original impression when drawing line art, but I think having a clear idea of the impression I have in mind helps me keep me on track 😌

So artist moot @kaishainichigo.bsky.social Helped draw a rough sketch of my Trails OC Rose S. Fang! "What's with the belt?" She stores her XIPHA phone similar to how Kamen Rider Faiz uses the Faiz Gear system. And how she uses it from there is up to your imagination to speculate😌

I had a sudden realization... It was not intentional 😳

Ichigo 🎨 @kaishainichigo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

And that’s basically it for how I color/render now 😁 Hope to keep learning and adding more techniques/styles to my process as I go, but for now it’s nice to have a workflow I can follow to save time 🥹👍 The completed illustration: bsky.app/profile/kais...

Something I’ve been focusing more on in my recent illustrations is the “finishing touches.” This includes steps like coloring line art, adjusting tone curves, brightness and adding Overlay layer to unify the colors. While the steps are simple, they make quite a big difference ✨

Ichigo 🎨 @kaishainichigo.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Thank you for showing support for my OC, I really appreciate it 🙇 I’d like to share the origin of her name “Anzu.” It comes from the Japanese word for "apricot.” Since my username “Ichigo” can also mean strawberry in Japanese, I thought it’d be nice to stick to a fruit theme 😁

Ichigo 🎨 @kaishainichigo.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Hi everyone, I'm pleased to introduce my OC, Anzu 🙇 She is dubbed the "Office Angel" for her kindness, reliability and charm—healing all burnt out office workers 😌 Moving forward she'll be taking over the front of this account, and I look forward to share more in the future 🙏

Ichigo 🎨 @kaishainichigo.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Since June I've been practicing applying gradient with a brush and have gotten better at controlling pen pressure to blend the colors well 😌 With my basic cel shaded coloring, it looks flat as is so I think the gradient helps to give it more depth 🙇 (L: No gradient R: Gradient)

Ichigo 🎨 @kaishainichigo.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Continuing from the previous step, another major weakness of mine is choosing the right colors (🥲). So I find working in grayscale first helps me lock in the values as a guideline. When adding colors, I'll use "Color" blending mode to preserve the values 🙇

A common beginner problem, I'm often indecisive with shadow placement/shapes 😬 So this process (inspired by Grisaille method) is to figure out the shadows (and light) in grayscale and not get distracted by colors. Helps me see the overall impression better (mood and lighting) 🙇

Ichigo 🎨 @kaishainichigo.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

One of the change/new step in my workflow is to color the eyes as a start. It helps me to see the overall impression better (which I had difficulty in the past) and also serve as sort of a checkpoint (if the expression looks good/right) to reduce back and forth revisions later 🙇

Ichigo 🎨 @kaishainichigo.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I previously talked about testing a new drawing style that could help improve my illustration speed and I'd like to document them with the OC illustration I'm working on. As the line art was done at the beginning of the month, I'll focus more on the color/rendering process 😌
