Happy 1 year anniversary to Ys vs. Trails EN! If not for this game, I never would have discovered my passion for localization as a craft, so I pretty much owe my career to it. That it got an official release at all--with all those extra bells and whistles no less--boggles my mind to this day.

For extra context, Trails hit 5 million in 2020. In the last six years of its 22-year run, the series sales has DOUBLED! That's worth underlining and celebrating too 🎊

Ohh. Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Lanterns finale had me sobbing uncontrollably. I haven't cried like that watching something since...I think I saw Logan in theaters in 2017. That was one of the most beautiful things Ive ever watched. 😭😭😭😭😭

I remember one time on my old Twitter account in 2016 I tweeted pictures of boxes and all my mutuals started doing the same thing, then their mutuals started doing it, and eventually some ytbers I followed said "why are there so many boxes on my TL"?? 2010s twitter was a different era man

I have made the unfortunate realization that my writing goes slightly harder when I'm just a tiny bit sleep deprived. I apologize in advance to my body for the damage this discovery will do to it and thank it for its sacrifices 🫡

You know a movie's good when you have the sudden Friday night urge to get on the phone with someone and gush about it for exactly 2 hours 0 minutes and 0 seconds (the good movie was resident evil btw)

Speaking of which, happy good chicken Friday!!!!! I got an extra ketchup with my order 🥰

y'all I met a mutual irl recently and they were like "heyy you're Andrew, I love your good chicken friday posts!!" Its so SO funny to me that "The Friday Canes Chicken Finger Guy" is my identity now 😂 this wasn't in the cards from the jump, but at this point I kinda have to keep the bit going

Was excited for this one. I worked on ArcSys's Qliphah in Providence's Shadow as editor! Rena's reminiscent of Ragna the Bloodedge (fun for this Blazblue girlie). The VN-like story is eerie but straightforward, the battle system unique, and the presentation stylish. It's also only $25! Check it out!

Had a great time at the trails cupsleeve event!! It's always great fun meeting up with other trails fans and geeking out about the games together. The turnout was kinda crazy, def something that just wouldn't have happened five years ago. We've come so far 🥰

unfortunately things are BAD bad and i just recently started a job but unemployment from this summer is catching up to me. i’m like $300 in the red and i don’t get paid until next week. once i’m over this hump i’ll be set but it is rough right now since i live alone and pay all rent/bills myself

20 y/o me wouldn't believe me if I told him where I am in my life right now. But yes he'd be impressed and I like to think he'd feel less depressed and a lot more hopeful, knowing where he'd end up several years down the line

Really is surreal seeing the series get the attention and acclaim it well deserves. I've been a fierce believer from the jump that Trails was something special, and I'm glad to share the room with so many who feel the same. I hope Falcom and their games continue to thrive like this ❤️

I'm hooting and hollering and crying and wailing and cheering and screaming and squeeing over how DAMN GOOD lanterns episode 5 was. Holy smokes. I can't believe it. There has never ever been a better time to be a DC fan than now

Y'know, I've had several things really not go right for me this year, but surprisingly? I've felt great these last two months. I feel a fire in me that I haven't felt in years. Great things are coming y'all

Said this on twitter, I haven't talked much about trails of late--my life has been a bit of a whirlwind this year--but I'm so happy horizon 2 seems to be the next big Falcom title (knock on wind). Super stoked to see the conclusion to the calvard arc 🥰

Oh hey, I did a little bit of editing for these! Mostly for some typo and terms cleanup. As someone who tested the Geofront patches way back in the day, getting this opportunity was surreal and a real full circle moment. Hope yall enjoy! The crossbell games mean a lot to me 🥰

I've been saying this to my friends for a few weeks but after watching lanterns I would KILL for a Kyle chandler-led Columbo reboot! He's got that old school rugged charm and disarming demanor down pat. Plus he's cute

If it isn't obvious already, I'm really really really enjoying this show and its depictions of Hal Jordan (as well as John Stewart). The show's juggling so many balls in the air with its mysteries, and I'm really enjoying theory crafting with the friends who are following along!

Rewatched EP 2 of Lanterns. What stuck out to me was Hal's treatment of John. On one hand, it's easy to write off his unreasonable demands and trivial "tests" as the acts of a lousy mentor who's green-eyed and perhaps even a bit on the back foot from John's obvious potential.
