best work I've done this week happened when I was spinning this three times in a row. it's a tricky customer, very easy to zone off and just let it carry you, only to suddenly arrive to the end of a side. then you flip it and it happens again. some parts reminded me of Diary of Dreams of all things

Had a lot of new stuff recently, but this one from Reigns is fantastic and needs a much wider audience. Beautifully played, hiding weird-you-out lyrics - it's melodic and accessible and is *well* up on my ever-present list. You need a list.

Ha! If only it were that simple...

You can pre-order "Blunt Synopsis" from the WSR Bandcamp on Friday alongside "Sofft Power" by SOFFTNESS. Treat yourself. It'll be in the shops October 30th through Cargo. If you write about music and want to review our releases or chat to the artists then drop us a message. Over and out.

The album is genuinely beautiful - it packs real emotional weight without resorting to bluster and posturing which is rare in the 21st century. If you dig Low, "Necrophones"-era Lungfish, Richard & Linda, Codeine or even Neil Young & Crazy Horse then this is your album of the year.

Found this in the plastic/glass recycling bin on my return from holiday, which thankfully hadn’t been put out for collection. Anyway, it’s really bloody good

UK 2026 !!! Beautiful stuff. Brings to mind to slowcore sound of the 90's and early aughts. A haunting vocal wrapped around a simple and gorgeous melody. reignsofwessexblog.wordpress.com reignsofwessex.bandcamp.com Reigns/ @reignsofwessex.bsky.social - "America" (Official Video)

A love letter to America from the new Reigns album. The band as you've never heard them before. Vocals as clear as day, no hiding. Full band line up. Vinyl (gold) / digital (pixie dust) out on Friday.
