Found this in the plastic/glass recycling bin on my return from holiday, which thankfully hadn’t been put out for collection. Anyway, it’s really bloody good

I know bsky mainly covers yoghurt weaving and acoustic guitars so this may fall on deaf ears but how fucking good is this man city debacle? What a joy to behold. It's better than actual football. Inject it in to my veins. Scorch the earth these people walk on

Heres a record that is really quite a thing, it's 20 years old now and one could debate it for another 20

UK 2026 !!! Beautiful stuff. Brings to mind to slowcore sound of the 90's and early aughts. A haunting vocal wrapped around a simple and gorgeous melody. reignsofwessexblog.wordpress.com reignsofwessex.bandcamp.com Reigns/ @reignsofwessex.bsky.social - "America" (Official Video)

Some very lo-fi film pics of AAA Gripper at the Exchange Bristol the other week. This gig was an absolute win. Kentmere 400@3200 for those into film. Also experiemented on a couple of frames and found my camera flash does work above 1000 iso despite the specs (another win). #wrongspeedrecords

There's a technique to the making of Reigns albums that is unlike anything and it ain't my place to break the spell. One day someone will do a deep dive on their work and will still struggle to work out why and how anything happens. This record is so beautiful. Was a privilege to be involved

20 years since this very splendid record. Pressed on crackly white vinyl, back then the worst colour to press on. Side three / four labels are mixed up. It's a perfect representation of Harvey Milk, the band Melvins could only dream of being. A band who celebrate defeats like no other. 10/10 album

The new @reignsofwessex.bsky.social album, The Antigeist, is up for preorder. Suave looking, end-of-days creepy sounding, full band business (Rob Ellis drumming so you know it kills). The duo have mutated. This is real life horror. This is the news reignsofwessex.bandcamp.com/album/the-an...

The new Strokes music is a challenging listen. Is it outsider pop like Ween or is it atrocious? If they hadn't of had that one album 25 years ago, a vast pr machine and be generationally wealthy* they'd probably have to get proper jobs by now * - I'm guessing here. They just look that type

Have spent all day (up to 2pm) resisting the urge to post about this but the dam has broken. The Martin O'Neill and Keith Andrews (one way) war of words is surely now over after last night's entertainment in Lask (is that a place or is it like Port Vale? No idea. Full disrespect meant here, btw)

All those million/billionaires looking at how Dolly Parton is being remembered completely positively knowing that they're going to be remembered as the skeleton in the closet hiding, money hoarding, whip cracking, key to hell holding, shitbags that they are... It SHOULD be educational for them

Memory flashback from youthful London Underground japery way back: the more popular stops had been finger pointed so much on the maps they'd had finger tip size holes worn away "Tottenham Court Road, there it is" (Note: I bunked school and got mugged outside TCR, consequently couldn't tell anyone)

Watching Forest v Leeds entertaining the nation on ITV. Dont get much live football on normal telly now. This really is the peasants being fed gruel and scraps from the masters table. The cost of watching football on TV in the UK is shameful.
