One of the design elements of 5e I find most awkward to convey to new players is spells known vs spell slots. It doesn't help that the formula for spells known is buried in the text. Goodness knows why those weren't conflated into a single stat

This is probably a cynical argument to make and I'll happily be disagreed with, but here goes. While the causes are undeniably worth supporting, I think megabundles where we sell hundreds of games for a few dollars impact the value of indie TRPGs and the earning power of creatives.
