I am despairing/mourning a bit about health issues, and lifestyle changes. I feel like many folks would scoff at my problem. But I'm overwhelmed. I will adapt. Gotta keep living, is what it comes down to.

Back in the urgent care clinic today, and sent home with a new prescription and pumped full of an NSAID shot. (and flu and covid vaccine to boot!) Doing much better, but still knee scootin' again. In other medical news- MRI next Monday for that old repaired and injured achilles, ahead of surgery.

Guilt is really weird and complicated. I’ve been working on this too. Exploring the idea of guilt as perceived debt, and asking myself, “What do I owe the person I’m feeling guilty towards?” Often the answer is not, “upending my wellbeing to make them feel like I’m doing enough.”

Sharing because I think I wish I heard more people talk about these things to normalize it, and two to just connect on a more personal level. Trying to exert more of who I really am, but stacked against the worry that if I shed people pleasing behaviors I’ll lose people in my life.

My heel is all strained and aggravated again :( right before two weeks of excessive holiday walking and suiting. I'm icing it and taking anti-inflammatories. But it still huuuurts. And I am so stressed out today, I'm hurting all over like I'm sick... i'm quite worried!

Lots of excitement about the squeaky beach sounds in Big Walk! You'll all be happy to know it's the real thing! Was absolutely giddy to get to record them on an actual Australian squeaky beach in Wilson's Promontory. Yes, if you didn't know some beaches there really do squeak. It is pure joy.
