I have little time for the Britain is broken narrative as it’s really only a reinforcing loop, does nothing to galvanise support around change, ignores anything that is working and makes everyone needlessly depressed. It‘s reductive, overly simplistic and a waste of all of our time.

I've slightly inhaled a load of podcast with GG to fill in the gap between his book and now. Lots of discussion last night about what's next as no clear (to us) follow on from Neoliberal Order as Neoliberal was for New Deal. Seems to be little coalescing around a vision for our collective future.

Women in business are all too familiar with the ways men use sexualised environments - lap dancing clubs, alcohol-soaked happy hours, Hooters - to create gated decision-making & networking spaces that we are excluded from. Epstein's child rape island is unique only in scale, not in substance.

Today, we launch a new campaign: Double Injustice. Naomi Hunte and Fiona Holm were killed by the same violent partner. On both occasions, the police knew about risks to their lives but did not take any effective action, and both times the result was the woman’s death. Both deaths were preventable.

Still, handy to know that a vote for @greenparty.org.uk is a vote for the gambling industry lobby, which makes a profit £14b a year. Ladbrokes do things like paying £1m to the victims of a thief who had a gambling addiction in return for not being reported to the gambling commission. Cool, cool.
