I don't see it as a bad word, merely a descriptive one. If I did I probably wouldn't use it as my wife has got said tendencies.

I use papist. Usually to describe other Anglicans with Romish tendencies rather than regular normal Roman Catholic's.

I don't think they can ever be Conscious but that to me is not Relevant. I believe that I should attempt to behave as the best human that I can at all times, as it is better for myself to do so.

There is a serious question here. If we set out to deliberately cause destruction, Harm or Pain? How does that affect us as humans? Does it Desensitise us to suffering more generally? If we don't get bad feelings from doing bad things surely that is bad for us?

This painting captures a scene in Norway inspired by pre-dawn illuminated clouds reflected in the still, cold waters. The crisp, clear air made the colors bright and pure in the early morning light. Fjord Reflections by Erin Hanson, 2025 Oil on canvas 24 x 30 in #norway #art @bsky.art #painting

Well said. How many of Tommy Robinson’s Sport’s Direct paramilitary division go and help or worship at the churches they claim they want to protect. It’s much easier to don a balaclava and shout at the RNLI. #HopeNotHate

Death notice for Harold Godwinson in a recent newspaper.

She doesn't need to. She needs to get the Conservative party back to a Solid second place in the polls. That way the Tories can present themselves as the alternative to the Govt. Instead of having people project Reform as the alternative. Small shifts can do that. Breakthrough unnecessary.

There's a bit in Gladiator where Maximus fights a BAFTA
Tigris of Gaul from Gladiator, wearing a metal face mask and a helmet shaped like a giant cat. Yes we know there is evidence of Romans using face masks, particularly for ceremonial use on cavalry. You're reading the ALT text because you're a pedant, so we're explaining the joke.

Aquinas says: it’s to preserve the common good, but depends on the injustice in need of redress. The Catechism notes this but refers to new and deeper understanding of various things that have enabled the Church to (now) disallow it.

It actually makes the problem worse. It would just mean that there would be more disruption and less actual Teaching & Learning done. Either a) Retrofit schools to fix the problem. Or change the school hrs to avoid it. I went to school in Malaysia. School hrs 7a.m. -1 p.m. Afternoons too hot.

Not my point. And you know that. My Point is that any German or anyone abroad who had an interest in Germany could know. In Particular other States foreign ministries were fully informed about the regimes aims and objectives beforehand. No one can say "We couldn't know".

Apart from the fact it's utter nonsense. It's a great quote. What Hitler wanted to do was all there in Mein Kampf (1923) if anyone bothered to read it.

In terms of Wealth creation mostly, yes. But an awful lot of stealth redistribution policies. To support "Communities" "Opportunities", "the Environment" Quite a lot of thought on Regulation, As befits a party that has most of its governing experience at council level.

Yes. They formed in 1988. They are a party run by lefties who get people espousing Centre-left policies elected by Centre-right voters. Their median Activist has collectivist solutions to everything and loves to talk about "Community" Their median Voter thinks they are "Nice people like me"

Really No. All of that is the bare minimum that would be done by any Lib Dem Leader. A leader trying to actually Lead would have done more. They would have outlined a vision for a Liberal Britain. In the EU. Every Liberal Leader since Jo Grimmond has made the case for Europe.

I've never heard of her before. The story illustrates why people lose elections. Canvassing is listening not talking. If you cannot even make an honest effort to do something the voter wants (No pissing in lift) why should the voter, vote for you?

I wonder if Sagal Abdi-Wali has done her ceremonial first telling of the Lena Jeger story yet? You can win the seat and take the oath, but you aren’t really MP for Holborn & St Pancras until you’ve told the Lena Jeger story. (I’ve hear Frank Dobson and Starmer tell it. Dobson added more expletives.)
