That is probably meant to be the Kent & East Sussex Railway. But now I want to see a Cantonese Sussex Railway.

Today's historic pic: The site of former northern platforms during roofing-over works at Adelaide Railway Station, April 9 1985. The grand terminal building still stands today, but suburban trains arrive and depart from rebuilt platforms now beneath hotels, offices and a convention centre.

Standing on the edge of a passenger platform at a city railway station, looking along the platform we see a grand sandstone terminus building in the distance beyond the end of the track. At right, the platform on which we are standing has a canopy running along it, extending only part way towards the track near us, but further towards the terminus it extends almost all the way to the track. To the left of the track is a worksite - once the the side of additional tracks and platforms, there are cranes, piling rigs, caution flags and early earthworks for the foundations of a roof that was soon to engulf these platforms.

Been meaning to show off this transporter wagon, it's a Jerry Irwin kit. The blue wagon is naturally a bachmann thomas one with gauge 3 wheels, bit thanks to becca for modding it. Thankfully, it doesn't look too out of place with my other MSR Stock
