Marcus is a mechanic from the north of Scotland who was roped into Sefina's story by complete happenstance!

With a tendency for overworking with no regard for himself, Marcus was forcibly sent on a Hawaiian holiday by his sister in the hopes it would help him blow off some steam.

Marcus, who hated the idea of being a layabout, decided to help save some steam instead!

The morning before he left for Hawai'i, Marcus was approached by the new Calcots & Dores Railway Preservation Society and told to keep an eye out for a locomotive they nicknamed 'The Lost Legend.'

Next thing Marcus knew, he was being held at wrench-point in a dingy old railway shed on the island of Kaua'i by a very, VERY angry Hawaiian...!

This relentless tenacity of hers is a double edged spear; for years she has become more and more isolated, sinking further into despair as the tourist-centric future of Hawai'i knocks on her door: Condos. Hotels. Golf courses. It means the destruction of what remains of the Hanalei Railway. It means the elimination of No.4, Makani Moana.

Her surname, Kaiwi, means 'keeper of the bones.' Those bones are being maliciously burned.
It's 1975.
She's running out of patience, money and time.

Can she protect her Legend's legacy?

From 'Sodor: Reading Between The Lines' (2025 edition). The book describes the newly bought Austerity tank engine; his name is Walter and he wears a black livery. The Scottish Twins were promised the Austerity engine would come and help them way back in 1994, a long time ago now! The twins are still quite bitter about Walter's very delayed arrival. - This illustration is presented in the style of the pages of the standalone Railway Series storybooks (e.g. Thomas' Christmas Party) to reflect the source material not coming from the mainline series of Railway Series books.

"You miserable engine!" scolded the Stationmaster's wife. "Just look what you've done to our breakfast!" - Here is a recreation of an illustration from RWS Book 16 'Branch Line Engines'. Thomas has crashed into the Stationmaster's dining room just as his family were about to have their breakfast of ham and eggs. At least no harm came to the Best Orange Marmalade!

This kit is a Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes caboose! The SR&RL had many types of cabooses; and many examples of them are preserved. This particular kit is based on 554, which is owned by Maine Locomotive & Machine and can be seen at the WW&F. I might make other Sandy River caboose kits too!

Sorry it's been a while, work's been crazy! Here's my next showcase, another boxcar; but this is another Bridgton special! Some of their boxcars had windows as they were known to carry cows. One windowed example is in service and can be seen today at the WW&F Railway.
