When is it my turn for the wholly and unconditionally loved part

A picture of Catra clinging to Adora with the caption:
Characters who are absolutely convinced down to their bones that they are unlovable being subjected to the mortifying ordeal of being wholly and unconditionally loved. That's the good stuff. Never get tired of it.

Happy #She-Ra Sunday! :D For the record, I still think this is my favorite meme I've ever made for the series, and also probably my favorite season. Even with how far off the deep end I went for S5 :v There's just something very fun (and heartbreaking) watching a character crash and burn :p

Commission for @metro-observer.bsky.social It's my She-Ra!Lonnie design~

Lonnie from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power as She-Ra. Her outfit is an adjusted version of She-Ra's pre-season 5 design: A sleeveless white shirt, a white loincloth and white boots. The shirt has a golden motif on the chest, the boots have golden soles and a golden rim with wing designs. She's wearing a golden tiara as well as golden vambraces and black, fingerless gloves. Under the loincloth, she's wearing light blue shorts.
She is posed in front of a dark background with a flame-like aura around her. She's lifting her sword over her head with her right hand. The sword is glowing and surrounded by lightning.

I thought the biggest hurdle of trying to make a new style was unlearning the years and years of muscle memory and style I had developed for a new one. But the actual hurdle was the style kinda looking like a butch hartman production and making me never want to fucking draw again.

The thing I love about She-Ra is how respectfully the story treats all characters, giving them opportunities to do better, and how many of them take those opportunities, and it works out! It’s good to make that choice! I want that level of hope and compassion in more stories!

I love She-Ra and while nobody is OWED forgiveness, especially from someone who tried to destroy the universe, there's nothing wrong with having Adora acknowledge Catra wants to be better and love her. It doesn't say all people who do bad things should be forgiven. It says this is Adora's choice.

It reminds me a lot of She-Ra discourse from years ago, where people didn’t seem to realize the target demographic wouldn’t see Adora forgiving Catra and go “we should befriend people who try to kill the whole planet” but instead “oh maybe I should try to empathize and show grace to my best friend”

a short haired busty catra sits in the lap of a mildly annoyed busty adora. catra is both copping a feel and stroking adora's face with her tail. "Cheesed to meet ya" she says. cheese isn't even a cat pun. what are we doing here?!
