🌵 Curtis's botanical magazine.. London ;New York [etc.]: Academic Press [etc.]. [Source]
Illustration from Curtis's Botanical Magazine showing a round, green cactus covered in thin, long, dark spines. Atop the cactus are clusters of large, vibrant yellow flowers with multiple pointed petals and a detailed white and red center. Below the cactus are fine line drawings depicting the cactus’s root system and flower anatomy, highlighting botanical features with numbered parts. The image has a vintage scientific style with delicate shading and soft color tones on a light beige background.
