Part of what's going to sit with me after watching this one was that there were so few men in it. The menace came from folk horror and grief. No men leering through the windows. The widow's husband has a sliver of screen time and wasn't a villain. More horror movies that don't center men, please.

Frewaka from 2024. The first Certified Banger of this year's run. A great folk horror movie that knows to imply more than it shows. The impact when big things happen hits so much harder thanks to that. Great performances (mostly in Irish) from the two female leads. 4.5/5 glowing red crosses

I don't know if I'll get to 31 horror movies this October, but I'll give it a go. Watched my first one today, so I'm a bit behind. 1981's Don't Go in the Woods. Very generic and paper thin slasher with nothing that approaches characters or motivations. Interesting soundtrack. 1.5/5 stars

I did a little work on my second Big Mek Dakkarig. The head is from the Big Mek kit and the left jaw is cut away because it’s pressed into the shoulder on its original kit, so I had to build it out and got to thinking about what else I could add. My first Dakkarig included to compare.
