Climate Captivity: when in-situ adaptation and moving out are no longer options Rather than ceasing efforts to reduce vulnerability, captive groups often experience repeated setbacks, leading to maladaptation over time. Denial might become the only coping mechanism left doi.org/10.1177/2753...
The downward spiral of climate captivity represents the spatial and temporal dynamics of climate captivity, where slow-onset environmental change and recurring disasters interplay with vulnerability and policy pressures in a downward spiral, unbeknowingly eroding both the habitability of places and the recovery or adaptation options of the groups increasingly trapped.

Il y a 40 ans on alertait. Il y a 20 ans on alertait. Il y a dix on alertait. Aujourd’hui on alerte. Qu’est-ce qu’on a raté? Que faut-il faire pour qu’au lieu d’écouter les scientifiques on les entende? Pensées aux victimes, aux secouristes et aux élus des communes qui gèrent les héritages.
