I do actually think AI changes the physics there. Slow and fast phases existed in before. But today people have more arguments saying we don't need a slow phase because fixing stuff is now much cheaper or just a newer model will fix it. www.theengineeringmanager.com/growth/slow-...

Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others already have all your proprietary code. When you can cheat that much at work nobody would even think about the extremely low probability of consequences. But with how things go it probably doesn't matter. #AI

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers. The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

Hi, I'm Jaime and I've been working for 8 years for the Wikimedia Foundation. The following are personal views and do not represent in any way the position of the Foundation (I don't and cannot speak on behalf of it). However, you may have seen this question by Mr. Musk and I wanted to respond A 🧵:
Elon Musk answers to the Foundation Drive "Wikipedia is not for sale" asking "Have you ever wondered why the Wikimedia Foundation wants so much money? [...] So, what's the money for?"
