Don't just test mouse lag. Test mouse jitter too. - 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000 Hz polling - Test with 600 Hz, 720 Hz, 1080 Hz display - Harmonics more visible if Display Hz *nearer* Mouse Hz - Supersample mouse Hz by 2-4x+ if prioritizing visuals - Left = 1000 Hz poll, Right = 8000 Hz poll

Instructions for Mac users of TestUFO with stutters. There's a new "High Power + High Precision" mode for MacBooks, via gear icon. Many TestUFO animations run as little as 0.1ms-0.2ms but stutters at 120fps 120Hz due to Mac power management. This very XCKD setting (#1172) fixes TestUFO stutters.

CRT simulator GPU shader coming December 24, 2024 on github & shadertoy! Genesis of CRT-simulation replacements in future, when used CRT tubes are near-extinct. Tomorrow's 240Hz, 480Hz & 1000Hz OLEDs can optionally faithfully simulate CRT electron beam for 60fps content.

60fps vs 120fps = 2x motion blur difference at GtG=0.00ms. Non-zero GtG pixel response adds blur, even if less than refreshtime. 1. 60fps vs 120fps weak on overdriveless mobile LCDs (~1.2x) 2. 60fps vs 120fps more visible on gaming LCDs (~1.5x) 3. 60fps vs 120fps very visible on OLEDs (~2.0x)
