Hahahaha. Farage now whining that he was badly advised by his overpaid team into calling his stupid by-election. Confirming then that he’s incapable of working it out for himself. Too busy counting his money. Honest to god, Clacton. Don’t be the constituency dunces he needs you to be. (Times)
One senior source said they believed Farage had been poorly advised over calling the by-election in Clacton.
They said that "young advisers" around Farage had not checked whether the standards' commissioner's investigation would continue in the event of the by-election and they had incorrectly assumed it would not. They also criticised "massive salaries" paid to staff who they said were "letting Nigel down".

Crypto isn’t part of the FCA’s remit so they can’t investigate Farage yet for his corrupt lobbying on behalf of his crypto donors. But come on. These moneymen are so far from well-intentioned, it’s absurd. £5mill Farage is their deregulation-monkey. Their path to profit. At our expense. (iPaper)
Watchdog: we can't look into Farage crypto claim yet
By Alexa Phillips
Nigel Farage has been reported to the UK's financial watchdog over his links to the billionaire crypto investor and Reform UK donor Christopher Harborne - but cryptocurrency is nohe latorir Parte has urged the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to investigate whether the Reform leader's public advocacy on cryptocurrencies and sta-blecoins may have benefited Harborne and other donors.
Cryptoassets are not currently within the FCAs remit for regula-tion, with a spokesperson saying they will not be
"fully within our regulatory regime" until October 2027.
Its remit does however extend to financial promotions - which would also include cryptocurrency - and Labour has asked for a probe into whether Farage has fallen foul of those rules.
Labour's referral follows reports that Farage used a private meeting with the Bank of England to urge the Governor, Andrew Bailey, to drop plans for a state-run cryptocurrency that could be costly for Harborne.

The regulator will respond to the letter from Anna Turley, the chair of the Labour Party, within 15 days.
The FCA is understood to be considering whether it can investigate any part of Labour's complaint.
In the letter to the FCA, the Labour chair said Farage has
"publicly praised the stablecoin Tether, attacked measures that could limit the growth of private stablecoins and argued that the UK should become a global centre for crypto-asset activity"
She added: "At the same time, he and his political party are both being funded directly by people with financial interests in
cryptocurrencies.
"I urge you to investigate Nigel Farage's apparent efforts to use his public role to benefit those who have contributed to him financially."
Farage (inset) is currently being investigated by the Parliamentary Standards Commission over whether he broke the rules by failing to declare a €5m gift from Harborne.
Reform UK was contacted for comment in response to the
FCA report.

Reform stood by him, arguing they were made before he entered politics.
