gave myself a buzzcut + dying it purple so it’ll be super low maintenance when I have surgery in literally under two weeks already got everything situated for the next few months (assuming my surgery goes normally), y’all it’s gonna be a cozy end of the year. gonna lay around and chill and heal 🫶

had my birthday today :) got a lovely birthday doodle at the restaurant we went to. drank an outrageous amount of peach sprite and ate food till I nearly felt sick lol

Once you start noticing how the incapacity to handle discomfort affects how people live their lives it's actually pretty shocking how it ruins pretty much every conceivable aspect of existence. Interpersonal relationships, romantic and platonic. Career and education opportunities. Your politics Your willingness to go anywhere. The kind of food you eat. The kind of art you expose yourself to and your ability to read it. It's never just one thing, it touches everything, and once you notice it it's like suddenly being able to see germs or something. Just this horrific catastrophe people look at you askance for screaming about. As I grow older and see what became of my friends and peers who could not learn to handle discomfort, the more I'm like. This is a genuine societal issue

was so excited for (and about to buy tickets for) The Midnight concert that’s gonna be near me in October and then my surgeon rescheduled my surgery at a different hospital and now I can’t go 😭 huge bummer but at least this hospital is closer (and better!) which is nice.

i got an official surgery date!! officially having surgery mid october and freaking out a little currently!! gotta start working on comic pages + art in advance omg. it’s my first surgery though so i am absolutely freaking out a little!!! but i’m hopeful! really hoping for the best!

going to a surgery consultation tomorrow for something that will hopefully be both gender affirming and chronic pain ending and I AM SO NERVOUS. i’m SO fucking excited it keeps making me genuinely emotional but also good lord is it scary. i really hate going through medical stuff but also yippee!!
