Holy shit. Amazon fraudulently charged $55 me for a subscription for months. When confronted their chatbot first offered me $5. Transferred to a human they 1st upped it to one month. Then three. Then relented for the whole amount. This is clearly a known issue that they are not stopping

First order was refunded because it was not by me. Then mysteriously it gets charged again as soon as I get a new credit card (replaced because of the original fraudulent charge, but subsequent fraudulent charges were from Amazon itself!)

Mad Men is the best show ever made about how sometimes a Pete Campbell is just a Don Draper who sucks, but who, in finally confronting the ways in which he sucks, gets a shot at redemption, while that same redemption is denied to the actual Don Draper, who isn’t even really Don Draper, but is actually Dick Whitman, but who, upon having too many experiences with Harry Crane, who used to be sort of decent but is now way worse than all of them (after spending too much time in Los Angeles and having sideburns in the 60s, a common fate) decides to go for it anyway, and the show leaves unsaid whether he ultimately improves (like Stan, a guy who massively sucks at first but then gets better due to his proximity to Peggy) or is doomed to just repeat the cycle after a really good month at work. There is also a Roger Sterling in the mix. More on him another time…
