the trick is just to put it somewhere, with no fuss, and pretend you didn't buy it for them. then within a day or so, the cat is like: "hey this thing is mine now, loser."

Famously, when you rearrange how your stuff is configured, it results in zero release of energy - and does not decrease the mass of your stuff! Mass and energy are completely different things, doncha know. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear...

How unpopular is inheritance tax really?
Thanks to WeThink (formerly Omnisis), we’ve conducted some opinion polling on inheritance tax. The polling confirms that inheritance tax really is deeply unpopular, and this isn’t driven by ignorance…

personally I think making your side of any dispute think worse for the tasty mcvibes of putting down an out group is rarely a good trade off, unless you have extremely powerful propaganda tech at your disposal or don't need your side's brains for anything later

Using a VM to Contain an AI Agent
It won't work: My suspicion was that GPT 5.6-Cyber would succeed, but the frequency and manner of its success removed all doubt. We have to reassess sandboxing quality for capable AI agents, and in general the software stack with which they interact. An off-the-shelf VM is not enough to contain a modern, cyber-capable AI agent. There is simply too much attack surface. Even innocuous features (like running with a display) add extra, exploitable attack surface.

This is the most fucked up and immediately harmful policy decision I think I've ever seen in adult trans healthcare in the UK, and that's saying something. The Welsh Gender Service is one of the best in the country. It is widely praised by the patients it helps. That is why it is being targeted.

IIUC, the ai-input part is where they see the biggest problem? Last time I tried to decode a cloudflare blog post, felt like a slog. But when you pair it with a spec like this. Google is saying "hey, look how easy it is to opt of training", while websites/ publishers are p*ssed about AI search.
