if people are like "your tone is really rude and it makes any attempt to talk to you deeply unpleasant." and you're like "that's only valid feedback if you're willing to have an extended direct conversation about it with me off anon." you are setting up a very obvious catch-22

An ode to b00bs, t1ts, br3asts, ch3sts and b0soms ✨ (if you saw Anne Bonny in the wip, no you didn't) #ofmd #ofmdfanart #ourflagmeansdeath

Sheet with 5 drawings of Ed and Stede. On the top left corner there is Ed as Jeff the inkeeper looking sad/confused. Top right corner is shirtless Stede in bed holding a mug. Center Ed in the gravy basket with the rope around his waist. Bottom left corner there is MerStede looking like a sexy rectangle and bottom right corner there is Stede in his dark teal pirate shirt with low neckline.

i just think it's funny that people who would have full scale public meltdowns (complete with wild accusations) whenever anyone blocked them are now saying "just block us if you don't want to see our posts!" people WERE blocking you and you called it bullying and ostracisation lmao! we can't win.

white person repeatedly talking over poc on poc issues, only bringing up racism when it's relevant to their cheap fandom arguments, crying foul over people blocking them over it? don't worry, their white friends will still high five them and hail them as champions against racism 🙃

thank you so much to this unnamed tumblr user for proving my exact point. this isn't about racism. the people mentioned in my post are not being anti-racist, they're just being shitty. there are poc who've been ran out of this fandom by these white people insisting their perspectives are invalid.

a screenshot showing my statement, 'many many people have tried to politely tell these folks that they're being rude and they're acting like the fandom cops and so on. nothing works.' followed by 'translation: you're ruining my racism waaaaaaaaaaaah'

anyway goodnight folks. i will leave you with the following questions to Ponder: is it a clique or is it a group of people who chat and interact bc they’re friends who are nice to each other? and are they excluding you bc they’re mean or are they just not friends w you bc you make them feel unhappy?

people online are not entitled to your energy. you are not obligated to make space in your life for people you don’t know and who exhaust you. even if you think they probably mean well, nobody is owed your direct engagement and attention.

the bulk of the behavior that's running people off tumblr, also, is not even ostensibly about racism; it's stuff like constantly showing up to scold anyone who writes crackships, or who affectionately dunks on stede, or who mentions jack without pausing to specify that he's pure evil.

danny ⚔️ @soupbtch.bsky.social · 25/06/2025

this group accused me of ‘white fragility’ because when they were having disingenuous, circular conversations about fandom racism without listening to the poc (me and others!!!) around them, I blocked them and reiterated that fandom is supposed to be fun and isn’t supposed to make me feel this way

the london eye and some south bank buildings

south bank, london, showing the river thames, some boats, several cranes, st. paul’s cathedral, and lots funnily-shaped skyscrapers because of the law or whatever that requires the view of st. paul’s remain unobstructed by other buildings

remember: do not leave our eastern flank vulnerable

Screenshot of a Tumblr post by rollercoasterwords. "pet peeve is when a fellow hater conducts their haterism such that they leave the hater community vulnerable to attack. "i think characterizing Character A in x way is boring and annoying" = beautiful, flawless, unimpeachable haterism. no one can tell u that u aren't allowed to find a certain characterization boring. "it is morally/objectively wrong to characterize Character A in x way" = sloppy, reactionary, overcommitting. you have left our eastern flank open to attack girl what the hell....now my dedicated hater troops are taking fire from YOUR enemies fuckkkk

The cover of a small, handmade paper booklet entitled “A Brief Taxonomy of Five Terrible Kisses That Stede Gave Mary (and one good one he gave Ed)”
The typography attempts to be festive despite the artist’s lack of patience and skill.

A submission for #FallFrontFriday Ed is feeling so relaxed and comfy 🥰💜 Also a rare white background from me #OurFlagMeansDeath #OFMDfanart #OFMD

Ed all stretched out on a blank background. He's got leather fall-front pants and a purple t shirt that's riding up to show a bit of belly while his arms are stretched above his head. His hair is down and sprawled out to the side and he's smiling with his eyes closed.

hi i also made a zine. couldn't help but keep it in the #OFMDMerMay spirit! make your own underwater friend <3 pages and full version for print below 🐙 #ofmdzineweek

front page of a zine with a pattern for crocheting a small octopus. There is a photo of the finished thing, doodles of Ed and Stede as mermaids and small octopus doodles, and the text:
"How to crochet a baby kraken with Ed & Stede"
"by bizarrelittlemew"
