It's october, so time for my yearly throwback to the frankenstein AU I had cooking with @kaijuqid.bsky.social Damn have I really never posted this one here? It's a few years old by now but still one of my all time favorite pieces I've done #OCs #ocsky

Blair is gaunt with red eyes and long grey hair, clad in a hospital gown. Their body is covered in scars and stitches with a large pair of metal bolts through their temples. They lie strapped to an operating table, straining against the leather restraints as a shock of green lightning strikes their head. Their eyes are rolled back unnaturally as they seize with pain and life.

Adonis stands behind them shrouded in darkness from the light of the window. He is tan with dark hair slicked back in unruly wisps. He wears a raggedy lab coat and rubber gloves, a pair of round glasses perched on his nose. He poses with a triumphant fist clenched, laughing "RISE!" as Blair is reanimated from the electricity.

"Reclaimed Siegearm"
A towering doll-like construct with an elongated frame - perhaps 12 heads high - covered in roughly stitched together fabric. Its lower legs flare out into wide, flattened feet with bolts at the ankles. Its arms hang nearly to the ground with sleeves that flare extremely wide; one arm ends in a massive mace head, and the other in a huge crushing claw. Its face is a nearly featureless metal mask with wide, circular, blank white eyes, framed by several sharp locks of metallic orange hair. Some kind of knife-like blade seems to be stuck horizontally through its head. A long, somewhat bright orange ribbon hangs from the handle of the blade.

I gotta return to form and get back into doing creepy blacklight color pallets this season.... and just in general I love the look of rich, low-contrast shadows or dingy neutrals played against eye popping neons.... gotta play more with shadow blocking for maximum effect.....

Below, Clare is 26 years old in the present day. Their hair is cut much shorter than it originally was when they were younger. They stand in an empty hall of sorts, looking downcast with a detached gaze. The same distortions linger around them, but appear more structured and fixed.

The one on the right has long pink-brown hair braided into an updo with long side fringes. They wear a similar attire to the previous, but with an additional sheer cape draped over, adorned with a dark brown ribbon and golden star brooch on top. They also wear glasses with a golden chain. Rather than a rapier, they use a scepter fitted with an astrolabe on top.
