Thinking of the murder of Brandon Teena which was motivated in part by the fact that he had not disclosed being trans to his partner.

I think this has been my problem. AI tech has majorly been a burden and detriment to humanity, yet posts about anything AI related have been overly credulous, taking things at face value, and not having a critical eye. The tone, the word choice… It's like listening to my company's AI advocates.

Digging past environmental and economic concerns, I just don't like it. Nothing made by or with AI is impressive to me, and I miss being impressed. It's a joy sucker, to me, and I don't appreciate it being everywhere and in everything. At least with crypto, it didn't come up a lot in my day-to-day.
