When you shake the Violette, it ruins the lovely color. So I like to add it after shaking instead. Normally this is a gin drink, but I think I actually prefer the aquavit substitution. The caraway notes especially play very nicely with the maraschino and temper the perfume of the Violette.

There's a lot to like about @level2janitor.bsky.social's Tactiquest TTRPG, but I especially appreciate the game having this section early in the book about "load-bearing" rules, ones that might seem auxillary, but are actually really important to the intended experience. More games need to do this!
