An exile from Twitter, of course. Blackburn Rovers, politics and trying to work out why nothing works any more.

Also, this should of course be a hard question for the ‘protect women and girls’ group, but they’re so anti asylum seekers, I dread to think of the response

And people are still on Twitter and uk politicians continue to take part in this and do nothing about Musk or his cess pit platform

But this is ok, because Trump says he likes him, and they’re friends? Dictators are becoming emboldened by Trump

The cruelty is the point. Worth pointing out regularly this is the richest country in history, yet it still insists it can’t help its own citizens.

They don’t want anything to get better, extraordinary to say out loud. These people are out to do continued damage to the country for the sake of their failed ideology. This is not patriotism

To suggest the British should have just let Hitler get on with it and hope we didn’t get any trouble, or to shrug our shoulders if we got invaded and the actual Nazis won, is an incredibly pro Nazi opinion to openly state like this

An unfit but all powerful and corrupt president, in charge of the worlds most powerful military, advised by an ai that bends to the whims of the world’s richest man, both of them carrying huge chips on their shoulders. What could go wrong

Customer service barely exists as it is, everything I have to deal with is just automated bots, and you can rarely reach a human. Hence more frustrating, no way to escalate and therefore you have to give up, which is what they want.

Because the far right have taken over enough of the media and politics to drive the narrative with their lies. Nothing has been fixed since the Brexit campaign, so all the disinformation, anger/hatred and lack of consequences for it all has got worse. Millions radicalised

The right and the far right (is there much of a difference these days?) HATE scrutiny. Always have, and now feel emboldened to block those out who will ask anything but softball questions. Badenoch is a terrible, terrible leader.

Agreed. I’ve largely given up - we need to spend so much money on fixing physical care, mental care and social care which is the way to get the population well again and support some of them returning or being able to work/get to school/function - and it just is not going to happen. Worse is coming

also thinking a lot about how #MeToo apparently went too far, when it’s quite obvious now that it didn’t go far enough. it didn’t really go anywhere. there were no lasting consequences of that cultural moment beyond people making jokes about it.

Russia has one enormous strategic advantage of which it is taking advantage. It can daily attack civilian targets--hospitals, universities, markets--knowing that while Ukraine can do the same, the Ukrainians are too humane to do so.

And the public are so swept up by the success of Farage’s and Tory’s billionaire owners setting the narrative that they fully believe small boats is the biggest problem in the country, and that we are facing an invading army

He doesn’t understand he says, scratching his head. If only we had years of evidence of Trump simply lying, taking credit for everything and just making shit up before changing his story again next time he’s asked. Do better, UK! We have no reason to give Trump’s cult any credibility
000
Rovers and Politics @slice404.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
It really is pathetic - Americans can continue to struggle with this as they worry about the delusional narcissist banning them, but no excuse for Brits. They know he’s a massive liar who doesn’t understand anything and will misrepresent everything - we all know! No head scratching needed

Rovers and Politics @slice404.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Agreed - becoming more and more angry rather than irritated that UK media just parrots and amplifies Trump and his cronies when we ALL know basically everything they say is a lie. Stop giving credibility to a group of cruel, corrupt, incompetent and consistently lying grifters and charlatans

There really isn’t enough honesty, even from Labour who let’s not forget are in actual fucking charge at the moment with a big majority, that for a long time there has been effectively very little in the way of legal routes for asylum seekers, and currently essentially none.

Rovers and Politics @slice404.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Well, that’s not going to happen with Farage and Tories and their majority media paying for and owning the narrative is it? We’re going the opposite way, they want to actively accelerate our doom

We’re an ageing and sick population, led by a billionaire class that is actively exacerbating and accelerating that decline through their media and politicians. Immigrants have always been the target of course, and as ever disabled people and children are coming into their sights now, despite facts

I just saw Aaron Ramsdale is now 4th choice keeper at Southampton, and for some reason I instantly thought of how that might have been an answer for Blackburn, totally forgetting who we are these days lol Aside from what’s been out of his control, it’s a massive fall from grace. Hope he sorts it

Its staggering that the public still havent worked out who controls the media, that they set the narrative, and that its always about who to blame. Immigrants, while we need to 'look out for own' has quickly changed to 'too many disabled people need help' and 'the young are workshy layabouts'

Why is anyone bothering to spend the time even commenting on this in the media - its Trump, of course he's lying, massively exaggerating or both; its what he does every single day. Look for credible sources and talk about that to find out what's going on, we dont need to discuss if Trump is lying

One of the things that links Farage and Trumpism is the complete disregard for the seriousness of government, and restraint Vs making everything content.
