I follow a couple guys on Instagram reels that do cringe comedy sketches where they play up being antisocial and annoying but sometimes they collab and it creates a weird effect where it goes from unpleasant to just like, guys in a room hanging out having fun and I feel like the odd one out.

I think it’s really fun to try to write a sort of obvious egg character in a non-contemporary setting. Not only does it mean I get to have a little fun with the way Knight talks about themself, it also means I get to really consider the ways gender roles differ from culture to culture in my world.
