Ugh. They just don’t understand. 😩 It’s not just about hearing the words. It’s about the closeness between the child & reader, the conversations about a book, the connection between the words & the illustrations, the tactile sensations of turning pages… why would someone want to give that to tech??

Among many other virtues, art is a way to grapple with things like grief and mortality in a safe, controlled environment before inevitably encountering it in the real world, and I think you do kids a disservice by “protecting” them from art that upsets them

Saw a game there last year, and it was one of the most fun sports games I’ve ever been to! The stadium was electric and they did a great job keeping the crowd energetic!
