Made a delicious keema palak tonight for dinner using a recent WaPo recipe. Spinach, ground chicken, plum tomatoes, garlic, ginger, garam masala, Serrano peppers (instead of Thai chiles), yellow onion, red chile powder, etc. Can recommend, though I expected it to be a little more curry like.

90s nostalgia has officially come full circle (I only knew it had \ begun in earnest when comics nerds were not only praising "the Clone Saga", but also "Maximum Carnage", two crossover storylines that, even as a kid, I knew had a bad reputation and was /still/ let down by both somehow.)

This might be the most thankless "how many have you seen" challenges that I've seen, tbh, and I can't honestly recommend that anybody watch all 12 movies. Also, for fun, I thought of some omissions: JANA NAYAGAN, CORPORATE RETREAT, STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS, and THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3.

One thing I’ve noticed, after watching NHK News’s highlight coverage of the last 4,5 sumo wrestling tournaments…the replays are weirdly protective. Sometimes they won’t replay an esp embarrassing result. Sometimes they cut off the replay right before a wrestler lands on an old lady in the front row.

About halfway into LUDA, Grant Morrison’s playful drag/panto/magic mystery novel. It‘s good so far, but also taking a spell (EH, EHHH) to kick into a higher gear. Still, enjoying it more now that they’re no longer trying to set up the mood/concept via overheated, semi lyrical prose.
