We’re turbo excited to announce our latest acquisition, KNIVES OF THE EMPRESS by @simonbest.bsky.social! Give him a follow, eh? Simon’s story is an action-packed tale that explores what it is to be a person (if you’re not born that way) and asks: How many mechs does it take to topple an empire?

Something's about to be announced that is very very exciting and doesn't feel real. But it is! So exciting!

Anyway, I have no idea how to market a thing but I made a physical media catalogue and collection management app. Give it a try! filmshelves.com/

One of the many reasons AI can't produce good writing is it can't hate its own writing. It can't think to itself "Maybe I'm illiterate" during the writing process. And that's essential

Yeah I loved it. Reminded me of the type of review that got me into games writing in the first place years ago. Perfect kind of analysis that does speak about the game but also frames it all against something much wider and very profound, without any pretention. Exquisitely written, brilliant job.

I did some playtesting for them in 2008, including "play our new horror game in the dark for eight hours and tell us if it's scary enough" (it was Dead Space, and the answer was yes). First time I walked into their huge creative campus in Burnaby it felt like the most amazing place. So long.
