During Helene, dozens were dramatically rescued from the roof of a Tennessee hospital. A mile away, 6 workers died at a factory. We spent 2 months investigating why some lived — and some died — in Erwin, analyzing visuals, flood maps, weather data + interviewing survivors and relatives. GIFT LINK:
