After her release, Georgia Fort thanked community members, her legal team, and fellow journalists for showing up in solidarity. Reflecting on her 17-year career, Georgia questioned whether constitutional protections—specifically the First Amendment—are being upheld, stating that she should be protected like other journalists she has previously advocated for. She stressed that documenting events and amplifying the truth in the community is not a crime. While limited in what she could say due to ongoing litigation, she urged continued support for others facing charges and reaffirmed her commitment to following the story and seeking answers to unresolved questions raised by community members.
